Characteristics of Using Ammonium Sulfate in Agriculture

Ammonium sulfate from synthetic sources is a kind of nitrogen sulfur substance. The nitrogen in mineral herbal supplements is essential for all crops. Sulfur is one of the main nutrients of agricultural plants. It is a part of amino acids and proteins. In terms of its role in plant nutrition, sulfur ranks third, and traditionally sulfur and phosphorus rank first. A large amount of sulfur in plants is represented by sulfate, which is why ammonium sulfate is essential due to its properties.

Ammonium sulfate (ammonium sulfate) is mainly used as nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. Due to the scarcity of sulfur in soil, the availability of phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium fertilizers is seriously reduced. In the areas where rapeseed, potato, grain and sugar beet are planted, timely application of ammonium sulfate (granular, crystalline) can obtain excellent results. The lack of sulfur in industrial scale cereals is interpreted as a sign of nitrogen deficiency. By using ammonium sulfate on cultivated land, the lack of sulfur and nitrogen can be eliminated at the same time, so as to improve the quality of agricultural products.
